Bell & Ross, the professional flight watch authority, recently cooperated with Gaspard Horlogerie-Bijouterie, a watch and jewelry store, to join the sixth Groupama Regatta in New Caledonia, South Pacific. Officially specified time.
The Groupama Regatta is held biennially. The current race was held on June 17th in Nouméa, the capital of New Caledonia, with a total of 24 monohull and multihull fleets competing. The route of this event is around the world’s largest lagoon, with a total length of 1,500 kilometers. The fleet sails counterclockwise around New Caledonia, passing Cap N’Dua in the south, passing the Grand Passage in the north, and finally returning to Noume Ah. The local lagoon and coral reef ecology has been listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
Groupama Race 2018
Bell & Ross’ Watch Beyond campaign shows the brand’s spirit of challenging the limits; the Groupama Regatta is very difficult. There are no mooring ports and rest stations in the race. The hot weather and the rough seas are a great challenge to the crew. Exciting and echoes the theme of the campaign.
After several days of competition, the New Zealand TP52 Miss Scarlet team led by the famous regatta Frank Cammas took the lead in the line. The time was 3 days, 52 minutes and 51 seconds. It overwhelmed another New Zealand powerhouse by 46 minutes. Brian Petersen is captain of the RanTan 2 fleet.
