The Galapagos Islands discovered by Darwin in 1835, biodiversity is amazing. In order to remind people to pay attention to and protect this ecological paradise, IWC introduced the Galapagos Islands chronograph watch inspired by the ecological and natural environment of the islands. The stainless steel case has undergone an intensive vulcanization process and has a black matte rubber coating. The newly developed rotary diving bezel with minute scale and adjustable counterclockwise can be easily operated with gloves before entering the water. The scale of the bezel is covered with a 4 mm wide sapphire crystal. It is firmly embedded in the surface of the bezel and can resist 12 bar pressure. The rubber strap can also be replaced with a buckle-type extension strap to allow the watch to be worn outside a wetsuit.
